Structural Dynamics Lab (LIDE)
The Structural Dynamics Lab (LIDE) is a research facility created in 2011 with the aim of being able to carry out experimental tests, in the field of civil engineering, on real structures or on scale models, that allow the validation and calibration of the models and codes developed by the members of the research group. We also conduct noise and vibration measurements campaigns for the characterization of structures and buildings, and in the scope of noise-related problems.

Recently, the lab has acquired two new instruments: two Tromino Blu, a high-sensitivity low-noise compact velocimeter-accelerometer-seismograph for the dynamic characterization of structures and soils, and for structural health monitoring applications.

The acquisition of these two instruments was financed through the project “INFRAESTRUCTURA DE COMPUTACIÓN CIENTÍFICA PARA APLICACIONES DE INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL Y SIMULACIÓN NUMÉRICA EN MEDIOAMBIENTE Y GESTIÓN DE ENERGÍAS RENOVABLES (IUSIANI-ODS)”, proposed by the University Institute in Intelligent Systems and Numerical Applications in Engineering (SIANI), of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, granted by Consejería de Economía, Conocimiento y Empleo del Gobierno de Canarias through Agencia Canaria De Investigación, Innovación y Sociedad de la Información, co-financed by the FONDO EUROPEO DE DESARROLLO REGIONAL (FEDER):
